Reporting and Appeal Rules
Content complaints, copyright requests and account reviews
1. Reporting options
Users can report a post, comment or relevant conversation and provide the specific URL, reason and enough detail to locate the issue. Avoid submitting unnecessary identity documents or bank information.
2. Categories and priorities
Reports involving threats to personal safety, child safety, obvious fraud or sensitive information leaks should be prioritized. Other reports are queued reasonably according to facts, risks and available resources. Resolution of every report within a fixed number of hours cannot be promised.
3. Investigation and outcomes
Staff may review reported public content and user-provided evidence, and handle private message reports under applicable law when necessary. Actions may include retaining, hiding or deleting content, warnings, account restrictions and reports to competent authorities.
4. Appeals and further review
Users affected by removal, bans or other restrictions may explain their reasons and submit necessary evidence to request further review. The platform should separate the initial review from the appeal where possible, record the reasons for action and handle the matter according to legal requirements.
5. DMCA copyright notices
Rights holders alleging copyright infringement may submit a valid notice under 17 U.S.C. §512, including identification of the work and infringing material, contact details, a good-faith statement, a statement of accuracy and authority, and a signature. Copyright feedback can be submitted through the administrator mailbox.
6. Counter-notices and repeat infringement
Where DMCA safe harbor procedures apply, affected content providers should receive an appropriate counter-notice process, and a reasonable policy for repeat infringing accounts should be implemented. Do not promise an automatic restoration time before checking the applicable rules.
7. Report privacy and misuse
Only authorized staff with a legitimate need may handle report information. Information may be disclosed to meet legal obligations. Malicious repeat reports and fabricated evidence are prohibited.
8. Child safety and serious illegal content
Assess known suspected child sexual exploitation content and other serious illegal situations under applicable law, and report when required under applicable rules such as 18 U.S.C. §2258A. This process is separate from ordinary user reports and copyright appeals.
9. Contact and transparency
Send feedback or appeals through the administrator mailbox, including the relevant content link, requested action and necessary explanation.
