Verify information, understand transaction boundaries and recognize category-specific risks
1. The platform’s role
COOSOU displays user-generated information and provides on-site communication. It does not automatically become a landlord, seller, employer, real estate broker or escrow provider. Unless the platform explicitly enters into a separate agreement, it is not responsible for directly performing transaction contracts between users.
2. Accuracy and identity
Publishers are responsible for their content. Display, ranking, recommendation, comments, verification or the absence of a takedown do not constitute a platform guarantee of credentials, ownership, professional qualifications, service quality or transaction safety. Users should verify these independently.
3. Housing and rentals
Verify ownership or agency authority, the address, lease, rent, deposit and payment method. Do not post discriminatory conditions that violate federal or applicable state or local fair housing requirements. Serving Chinese communities does not permit discrimination against protected groups.
4. Jobs and employment
Job advertisers should comply with applicable equal employment, wage and hour, work eligibility and job advertising requirements. Applicants should verify the employer, wages, workplace and conditions. Beware of scams demanding recruitment fees in advance, verification codes or identity documents.
5. Businesses, repairs and second-hand sales
Where a service requires a professional license, permit or insurance, the publisher must hold it as required by law and disclose it when necessary. Buyers and sellers should independently check items, service scope, quality, payment and delivery methods, taking particular care with advance payments and off-platform transactions.
6. Fraud and emergencies
Do not send strangers passwords, verification codes, bank credentials or unnecessary government identity documents. Use reporting and on-site contact features for suspected fraud. In an immediate threat to personal safety, contact local emergency services or law enforcement rather than waiting for a support reply.
7. External links and off-platform activity
External information shared by users does not imply platform endorsement. Assess risks independently when leaving COOSOU to transact or share information with third parties.
8. Demonstrations, promotions and reviews
Platform-created demonstration listings must be clearly marked as demonstrations and must not pose as real transaction opportunities. Do not fabricate customer reviews, transaction records or undisclosed commercial endorsements.
9. Responsibilities required by law
This disclaimer describes the platform’s role and risks only to the extent allowed by applicable law. It does not remove the operator’s mandatory consumer protection, privacy, safety, copyright or other responsibilities. Any conflict with the Terms of Use must be reviewed and reconciled under applicable law.
